WTF? Two Days In A Row Robots Have Me Freaked Out

It's been a few years since we checked in with Actroid, a bot we first saw way back in 2005. What you're looking at above is Actroid-F, Kokoro Co. Ltd. and ATR's latest iteration of the creepy humanoid robot that can mime the operator's facial expressions and head movements with unbelievable (but not quite human) accuracy. Her current job is to act as "as an observer in hospitals to gauge patient reactions." We guess that's one way to get around euthanasia laws. See what we mean in the video after the break. 



I'm sorry but I have to serve up some I told you so. This is just not kosher. First they're making our pancakes, now they look like us. They're taking steps closer and closer to world domination. 

Devil in France?

Paris: Eleven members of a family jumped out of a window at their home in the outskirts of Paris, when they thought they were being attacked by a "devil". One of the people - a four-month-old girl - died in the incident. 
The incident took place in La Verriere town, when a woman mistook her African-born husband, who was naked at that time, for a "devil" and began crying loudly, waking up the other people who stayed in the house. 
The man had woken up at night to feed their infant daughter.
A clash with the relatives broke out subsequently, and the man received a knife injury and was turned out of doors. His attempt to break into the house scared his family members and 11 of them jumped out of the window.
They were taken to hospital, but doctors failed to save the life of the infant girl. 


So...ummmm...what the hell France? ok...hold on....so a French Woman woke up to her African born husband feeding her baby, and decided he was the devil, tried to stab him, stabbed him, threw him out of the house and then when he tried to get back into his home they all fled the building, via the window. Typical French, crazy people.
As an American I have seen some ugly things in our past, slavery, oppression of Native Americans, Civil War, all that junk..but we're getting better, we said we were sorry. Our whole country is in the midst of crazy political upheaval, we have soooo many problems. Yet somehow, the French day in and day out remind me how blessed I am to be an American. I mean come on. 
America is making bounds and strides in coming together, we just elected our first African American person President, we are miles away from the days of slavery, a French woman just called a Black man the devil and tried to stab him. France! You Are MOVING BACKWARDS!
So Americans, Democrat, Republican, Tea Party, Black, White, of any national dissent,(yes including French because yes you are American now) we can come together and be happy we are not France.

Robot Pancakes, Skynet? or Scrumptious?

Ok, so this article or post has brought upon a moral dilemma I've been kicking around all day.

These guys have created robots that do basic human functions. Most recently they made a robot that can make pancakes. Now anyone who knows The Fooch knows that the one thing I cherish and love the most is Breakfast, but can we trust robots with something as important as making our pancakes. Now I know everyone reading this is saying, "but Fooch its just pancakes, this probably isn't even relatively new, machines make food all the time." and to those of you I say yes that's right, but I have also seen the Terminator series and iRobot, I know what happens when machines get too much power, and control over our pancakes is too much power. So I say now, enjoy your pancakes, but when the machines take over and are killing us and filling us full of tasty scrumptious batter, do not look to me, because all you will get is a plate full of light fluffy I  told you so. (also I will be too busy kicking robot ass, someone get me a bottle of Aunt Jemima Syrup and a machine gun.)

That Magical Time Of The Year

Its that magical time of year again. Leaves are changing color, theres a cool chill in the air, somewhere theres a poor kid watching football from a sideline. Yes its Fall, more importantly its October. Its that time of year where you are guaranteed two things, Yankees and Horror Movies. Now I love my Yankees, but what I love even more is my Horror movies. As a part of this Feartober( name used by Fearnet.com) My roomate and I have taken to a challenge. Once a night for the whole month of October we will watch a horror movie. So once a night, I the Fooch, will fill you in on what we watched and my own little mini review. Anyone with suggestions for horror movies for us to watch, send me an email or Facebook message.

Yes, I The one and only Fooch am back to lead my people in an exodus from the slavery of boredom. yes i just compared myself to Moses, except he had much better facial hair.
I am back for two reasons,
    1. I have been bored lately, and need people to listen to my opinions (that isn't Russolini)
    2. Popular demand, (about 3 of my friends who actually take the time to read this asked me to start writing again)
